The Project MIGRANTOUR wins the 2018 edition of the SIAA AWARD in light of its innovative character, its application contribution in the field of operator training and population awareness, and its significant size both at national and European level.
The Commission also awarded 3 special mentions: The project “Costruire Bellezza”, for its ability to address in an innovative way the theme of manual skills and recovery through the manipulation of objects of “anthropological design” in the framework of a very interesting initiative also in terms of the involvement of universities and public social welfare institutions; “Trame di quartiere”, both for the integration and interdisciplinary dialogue within an urban regeneration initiative, and for the ability to deal with “uncomfortable” phenomena and places; “Radio Ghetto”, for the effectiveness of the initiative in using radio to address problems of social marginality through a participatory mode of the programs produced.
The award ceremony will take place during the Conference of Applied Anthropology to be held from 13 to 15 December in Cremona (Italy).
As part of the programme, there will also be a workshop entitled “Telling the story of a changing city. The Migrantour experience” will take place on Thursday 13 December, from 2 to 6 pm.
