I was born in Saint Petersburg and I left my country 20 years ago. Did you know that my city was founded by the Tsar Peter the Great in 1703, that he wanted to build a ‘Venice of the North’ so he commissioned Italian architects?
When I left my hometown, my country was going through a period of big social and political changes, and life became even more difficult. Therefore, I came here because I thought that things in Italy were going better. Moreover I was fascinated by the Italian sun and art. When I finished university in my country I kept on studying in Italy, attending various courses. I definitely think of myself as an eternal student.
